For the third time in the history of the model moniker, the BMW M5 Touring is back, following the E34 and the E61. The most recent G99-generation model is the long-roof bodystyle variant of the G90 M5 sedan, which debuted in June this year. The G99 M5 Touring shares the same M Hybrid powertrain as the G90 M5 sedan, which combines electric propulsion and combustion engine power to propell all four wheels. The new M5 Touring shares the same external measurements as the sedan: it is 6mm taller but the same length and width. The front and rear wheelbases and track widths are 3,006mm, 1,684mm, and 1,660 mm, respectively, which are identical to those of the sedan.

New BMW M5 Touring: Power and Torque Figures
The Touring continues to spin all four wheels and has not changed in terms of power output, gearing, tyre size, or suspension configuration. The 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine and electrical system combine to create 717bhp of maximum power and 1,000Nm of peak torque, which are the actual power and torque figures of the car. The combustion engine produces 600bhp of those 717bhp. The M5 Touring accelerates from 0 to 100km/h a little slower than its sedan sibling, completing the sprint in an estimated 3.5 seconds as opposed to its less practical counterpart's 3.4 seconds. The 2025 BMW M5 Touring can reach a maximum speed of 248km/h or 304km/h with the optional M Driver's package added. It can also reach 200km/h in 11.1 seconds.
New BMW M5 Touring: Styling
Style-wise, the M5 Touring is an appealing wagon. However, it keeps the noticeable flared rear wheel arches. Similar to the sedan, the issue with this model is that the rear doors don't seem to have been rehauled, which results in an odd change from the rear three-quarters' original looks. The rear bumper now features vertical reflectors, and the inclusion of additional sheet metal above and the hatchback tailboard may improve the overall cohesiveness of the design. You'll also notice an M5 Touring-specific, tastefully fitted roof spoiler that complements the longer roofline's appearance.
New BMW M5 Touring: Interior
The 12.3-inch driver display and the 14.9-inch central touchscreen, both of which run iDrive 8.5, are identical to those found in the M5 Sedan's cabin. The standard M Multifunction Seats, upholstered in Extended Merino Leather, provide comfortable access to this. The standard M Multifunction Seats, upholstered in Extended Merino Leather, provide comfortable access to this. This is available in full black, but for those who like something a little more colourful, there are dual-tone options available as well, such as Kyalami Orange/Black, Red/Black, or Silverstone/Black. The standard interior trim is blended with aluminium rhombicle, but for a little more money, you may choose BMW Individual Dark Oak fine woodgrain or M Carbon Fibre with silver thread highlights. Switchgear and other interior brightware are finished in Dark Silver, depending on the option you choose.
