New Bentley Continental GT, Flying Spur Globally Unveiled with 671bhp V8 Hybrid Powertrain
The High Performance Flying Spur’s price is yet to be revealed, while the Bentley Continental GT with this setup starts at USD 265,900 (about Rs 2.29 crore).

Bentley has expanded its lineup of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur by introducing a second V8 plug-in hybrid option – the High Performance Hybrid, producing 671bhp and 930Nm of torque. This new powertrain is available across all body styles in two trims: a core variant and the Azure version, which emphasises comfort and passenger well-being. It joins the previously launched 771bhp Ultra Performance Hybrid, introduced last year for Speed and Mulliner models. With this update, Bentley’s two-door and four-door luxury models are now exclusively powered by an electrified 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor integrated into the transmission, marking a major step in the brand’s transition toward hybrid power. However, this version has been callibrated differently, resulting in the 'High Performance' hybrid delivering slightly reduced output.
Fourth-gen Bentley Continental GT, GTC with Hybrid Powertrain
The premium British manufacturer has introduced a new chapter in its electrified performance strategy with the rollout of the High Performance Hybrid. Outclassing the previous-generation W12 Speed engine in power, torque, and acceleration, this system also offers plug-in capability with up to 80 km of electric-only driving. With this addition, Bentley’s performance-focused range now includes nine models that blend exhilarating performance, handcrafted luxury, and everyday usability.

As mentioned earlier, the electrified V8 setup delivers a combined output of 671bhp and 930Nm of torque, enabling the Continental GT to accelerate from 0–100km/h in 3.5 seconds (officially 3.7), while the GTC convertible achieves the same in 3.8 seconds (claimed 3.9). In EV mode, the GT offers a driving range of up to 85 km, and the GTC follows closely at 82 km. Efficiency is equally impressive, with CO₂ emissions as low as 29g/km and 31g/km, respectively.

Driving dynamics are further enhanced by Bentley’s advanced chassis system, which integrates rear-axle steering, active anti-roll control, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Drivers can choose between Comfort, Bentley, and Sport modes to customise the vehicle’s behaviour to suit their preferences and road conditions.
Inside, the cabin reflects Bentley’s signature approach to bespoke luxury. Buyers can select between bright or dark chrome accents, opt for fluted seat designs, and enjoy unique treadplate details – each element underscoring the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
Bentley Continental GT Azure Trims
The new High Performance Hybrid powertrain is now offered on the Continental GT, its convertible GTC version, and the Flying Spur, though its availability is limited to specific trims. The Flying Spur gets this hybrid setup only in the Speed and Mulliner versions, while the Continental lineup includes it in both the standard model and the reintroduced Azure variant.

The Azure trim brings unique visual and comfort enhancements, including model-specific 22-inch machined alloy wheels, a gloss black grille with a chrome outline, Azure badging throughout the cabin, as well as a black front splitter. The coupe version adds a panoramic glass roof, whereas the convertible includes built-in neck warmers for added comfort.
