Aston Martin has pulled covers from the much-anticipated DB12 in the U.K. The new model will replace the DB11 in the range and feature a more powerful twin-turbo V-8 engine, capable of generating 662bhp with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The company hasn't divulged any information on the pricing yet. However, according to several market reports, it will go on sale internationally sometime in the third quarter of this year. According to Aston Martin, the new DB12 is the first super tourer and the most complete and accomplished DB car in the brand's history. In terms of appearance, the model's swept-back headlamps receive a new lighting signature. Its grille gets broader, and the frameless side mirrors are now thinner. Further, Aston's recently updated winged logo, first featured on the DB12 production car, is located on the vehicle's nose. New Aston Martin DB12: Engine & Performance
The eight-cylinder engine's output in this new car is 662bhp at 6,000rpm and 800Nm at between 2,750rpm and 6,000rpm. With a top speed of 325km/h, the new coupe can accelerate from 0 to 96km/h in 3.5 seconds. According to Aston Martin, the V8 engine has undergone several significant changes that have increased its performance. These include higher compression ratios, enlarged turbochargers, updated cam profiles, and better cooling provided by a reworked cooling system with two extra auxiliary coolers on top of the preexisting main radiator. For transmission, this improved V8 engine will employ an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Aston Martin claims to have given the DB12 a suspension that can withstand more forces to improve performance. It comes with adjustable dampers and stiffer anti-roll bars. In terms of driving modes, the car offers three choices: GT, Sport, and Sport+. According to Aston Martin, the DB12 is also the first DB car to use an electronic rear differential, which can change from fully locked to fully open in an instant.

Outside, the new Aston Martin DB12 has both a familiar and revamped look. The front design includes a grille, which is large and framed by improved LED headlights. Aston Martin's most recent symbol is above the grille, while the splitter below it has undergone a significant redesign. Sideways, the new vehicle gets flush door handles and frameless side mirrors, which according to Aston Martin, give it a sleeker appearance and aid in reducing drag coefficiency. The new Aston Martin will roll on 21-inch wheels with 400mm front and 360mm rear discs.
Coming to the inside, the recently debuted DB12 features an all-new infotainment system, wholly created and developed by Aston Martin. This device includes over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a new navigation system with internet connectivity and 3D mapping, etc. Aside from this, the DB12 also has a driver-centric centre console and Alcantara leather as a part of its interior.

The price announcement of the new DB12 has time. But, market speculations are going on in the industry that it could come with a price tag of $245K (Approximately Rs 2 Crore). According to industry reports, Aston Martin will start deliveries of the new DB12 during the third quarter of this year. More details on the new model will probably come closer to the launch.
