Mini's two John Cooper Works (JCW) versions of the Cooper and Aceman EVs have made their world premieres at the ongoing Paris Motor Show with a sportier suspension setup and a 254bhp electric motor. They are called the Mini John Cooper Works Electric and the Mini John Cooper Works Aceman. Both models get a single front axle-mounted electric motor, making 39bhp more power than their SE counterparts. The torque figure stands at 340Nm, while the 49.2kWh (net) battery is said to return 371km and 355km in the JCW Electric and the JCW Aceman, respectively. Both are WLTP figures.
As for the acceleration figures, the JCW Electric takes 5.9 seconds to reach 100km/h, 0.8 seconds quicker than the Cooper SE. On the other hand, the JCW Aceman can do the same in 6.4 seconds, 0.7 seconds quicker than its SE counterpart. Both JCW models have a top speed of 200km/h. The deliveries are scheduled to commence in the international market in April 2025.

Mini JCW Electric, JCW Aceman: Exterior
Unlike the standard models, the JCW versions of the Cooper and the Aceman get a black grille bar, side skirts, rear spoiler and aero blades at the level of C-pillar. Vertical reflectors and diffusers are finished in red. There are also chequered-flag-style John Cooper Works logos on the front grille, bootlid, and side sills. The JCW versions roll on aero-optimised wheels, measuring 18 inches for the JCW Electric and 19 inches for the JCW Aceman. The wheels are wrapped in high-grip tyres (standard). Also up for offer is a braking system in Chilli Red and a JCW-specific suspension setup, maximising 'the go-kart feeling'.

The JCW-specific theme finds its way into the cabin as well, which features a knitted dashboard with a black and red pattern. The sports seats are upholstered in black synthetic leather with multi-coloured knitted fabric in the shoulder area and red accent stitching. Other bits include ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen.

Mini says a JCW version of the petrol-powered Mini Cooper will also be unveiled in the coming weeks. The technical details of the model are awaited.
