Mini has launched the limited production model of the Cooper SE EV in India. The new Charged Edition has a Multitone white top and a Chilli Red exterior and costs Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which is Rs 1.5 lakh more than the standard version. Further, only 20 units of this special edition, sent via CBU, will be available in our market. The Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition shares the same mechanical components as the base SE and thus employs the identical 32.6kWh battery pack, which gives it a stated 270 kilometre of electric range on a single charge.
Using a 50kW DC fast charger, the battery of the model can be charged from 0% to 80% in 36 minutes. Additionally, it can go from 0% to 80% with an 11kW wall box charger (included as standard), as opposed to 9 hours and 43 minutes with a 2.3kW charger. Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition: Styling
The special SE Charged Edition has a few cosmetic improvements over the Mini 3-Door Cooper SE. It flaunts a dual-tone roof adorned in white and a Chilli Red paint job. The tailboard handle, logos, circular headlight, door handles, and taillight rings all have additional white highlights. Additionally, matte red stripes with yellow accents are added to the doors, tailboard, and bonnet of the Se Charged Edition. It also rides on the same 17-inch alloy wheels outlined in 'Energetic Yellow'.
Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition: Interior
Inside, the cabin design is similar to the standard model, but the upholstery is carbon black in the new version. Moreover, the start/stop switch, gear lever, and the badging on the door sills all include vibrant yellow highlights. The standard model's 8.8-inch infotainment screen and 5-inch instrument panel, are also present in the Mini Cooper Se Charged Edition. Features-wise, it includes wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon audio system, and navigation.
Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition: Powertrain
The Mini Cooper SE Charged Edition EV gets the same powertrain setup as the base model. The electric motor is fed by a 32.6kWh battery pack that offers 184bhp and 270Nm. Further, the EV claims a 270-kilometre range on a single charge and a 7.3-second 0–100 km/h acceleration time.
