Mini Aceman EV Images Leaked Ahead of Global Debut at Beijing Motor Show
The first pictures of the Mini Aceman electric crossover have surfaced online before its global debut at the Beijing Motor Show on April 24. Here's all you need to know about Mini's electric car based on the leaked information.
The first images of the Mini Aceman electric crossover have appeared online ahead of its expected premiere at the Beijing Motor Show on April 24. The electric vehicle will sit between the larger Countryman and the more compact three-door Cooper in Mini's global portfolio. It will borrow design elements from the Aceman concept shown in 2022 and include a high-end John Cooper Works (JCW) edition. The premium JCW model will come with low-profile tyres, bigger alloys, and decals with racing themes. In terms of dimensions, the Aceman will be about 130mm taller, 23mm wider, and 192mm longer than the Cooper hatchback. It is important to note that these specifics are based on leaked information. The global debut, which is scheduled for April 24 at the Beijing Motor Show, will likely provide more detailed specifications.
Mini Aceman: Mechanical Details
The upcoming crossover will reportedly follow the electrified Cooper SE hatchback, and therefore use a wider version of Mini's Spotlight Architecture. There will most likely be two battery pack configurations available: 40kWh and 54kWh, identical to the Cooper. Both batteries are anticipated to power the single motor installed on the front axle, with a potential output ranging from 180bhp to 215bhp. The Mini Aceman may have a range of approximately 400 kilometres on a single charge.
Mini Aceman: Interior and Features
Although the interior pictures are yet to be released, the new Mini Aceman is expected to come equipped with the brand's state-of-the-art round touchscreen, which will be the first circular OLED touch interface in a production model. The cruise control, drive modes, and media capabilities will likely use conventional toggle switches and buttons on the steering wheel.
Mini Aceman: Will it Come to India?
There is no word on the Aceman electric crossover's price and availability globally, but more details are expected to emerge after its debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April. While there is no formal information, the car is expected to come in a variety of trim levels with multiple personalisation options. Mini hasn't shared any plans of bringing the Aceman to India. More information on this subject may become available soon.
