The MG Windsor EV is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, for the single available variant. There is also a battery rental fee of Rs 3.5/km, which will be added to the overall cost depending on how much you drive each year. 

Meanwhile, the Tata Punch EV is priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh, depending on the variant and battery option opted for. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.

The MG Windsor EV features a sleek and elongated front design, equipped with LED headlights and a connected LED DRL strip, complemented by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The front end showcases clean lines with minimalistic styling, while the rear end sports a full-width LED light bar. Additional design elements include flush door handles and connected LED taillamps.

In contrast, the Tata Punch EV boasts a distinctive EV design. It features a blanked-out front grille with a central charging port, split headlamps with the main unit positioned on the lower bumper, and an LED strip extending across the bonnet. The rear of the Punch EV is sporty, highlighted by a sculpted tailgate and wrap-around LED taillights. It rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The MG Windsor EV is powered by a 38kWh lithium-ion battery, featuring a front-axle permanent magnet synchronous motor. This setup produces 134bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque, delivering a single-charge range of up to 331km. Charging times vary depending on the charger used: a 3.3kW charger takes approximately 13.8 hours for a full charge, while a 7.4kW charger completes the job in 6.5 hours. For faster charging, the 50kW DC charger can boost the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in just 55 minutes. Additionally, the Windsor EV supports a maximum fast charging rate of 45kW, which helps minimise downtime.

The Tata Punch EV is available with two battery packs: a 25kWh unit and a 35kWh unit. The 25kWh option delivers 80.4bhp and 114Nm of torque, offering a range of approximately 315km. The larger 35kWh battery provides 120.6bhp and 190Nm of torque, increasing the range to 421km. Depending on the battery size, the Punch EV includes different driving modes: City and Sport for the 25kWh battery, and Eco, City, and Sport for the 35kWh battery. The 35kWh variant can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds. Charging times vary with options including a 3.3kW AC charger, a 7.2kW AC charger, and a DC fast charger. The DC fast charger takes 56 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80%, while a full 0-100% charge with the 7.2kW AC charger requires about 5 hours.

MG Windsor Interior

The MG Windsor EV offers a premium interior featuring a dual-tone design with gold accents. It boasts a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, complemented by an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display. The cabin includes Aero-Lounge seats with a 135-degree recline, an infinity glass roof, and a nine-speaker Infinity audio system. Additional amenities include a wireless phone charger, 256-colour ambient lighting, and MG's iSmart connected car technology with advanced voice commands.

On the other hand, the Tata Punch EV has a sophisticated black-beige dashboard with Piano Black accents. It includes two 10.25-inch touchscreens for infotainment and driver information, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Punch EV is also equipped with a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, leatherette seats, and a wireless phone charger.
