MG's upcoming Windsor EV (electric vehicle) has been spotted while being tested in Mumbai, revealing its interior details. While the official teasers already confirm the presence of a 3-passenger rear seat (with 3-point seat belts and adjustable headrests) and a panoramic glass roof, the latest spy shots show a large touchscreen infotainment system similar to the one in the global-spec Wuling Cloud EV. Other noticeable elements include an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror and black seat upholstery.
The dashboard, which is partially visible in the spy shots, will likely feature an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a multifunction steering wheel, and horizontally-positioned AC vents. Other features may include automatic climate control, cruise control, powered seats, connected car tech, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, parking sensors (both front and rear), and an ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) suite.

Elsewhere, the model is likely to get flush door handles, front door-mounted outside rearview mirrors, a wrap-around glasshouse, and an integrated spoiler. In the global market, there are two battery options on offer – 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh – sending power to a front-axle-mounted electric motor, producing 134bhp. The former has a claimed range of 360km, while the latter offers a range of 460km. It remains to be seen which of these versions will make its way to India.

The Windsor EV will be the brand's third electric offering in India. MG is expected to position the Windsor EV competitively – under Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) – in terms of pricing. Upon arrival, the new Windsor EV will rival the Tata Nexon EV, BYD e6, Mahindra XUV400, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX.
