MG has officially teased its third electric vehicle, the Windsor EV, undergoing extensive testing at high altitudes in Ladakh, across the difficult terrains of Chang La and Wari La mountain passes. Though the test mule is concealed, it is expected to include LED light bars (front and rear), integrated spoiler, front door-mounted ORVMs, and square-shaped LED taillights. Inside, the MG EV is expected to feature a flat-bottom 2-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and two screens (one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system). MG Windsor EV: Powertrain
In the international market, the MG EV has two different battery options (37.9kWh/50.6kWh), powered by a single front-axle mounted motor. The range of the 37.9kWh battery is 360 kilometres, and the 50.6kWh battery is 460 kilometres. As of now, MG has not announced anything, but the 50.6kWh variant is expected to be sold in our market.

MG Windsor EV: Features
The new MG Windsor is expected to have electrically adjustable front seats, an electric tailgate, wireless phone charging, an 8.8-inch digital driver's display, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen. It is likely to include electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), an electronic parking brake, and ADAS with features like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
MG Windsor EV: Dimensions
The international-spec variant (Cloud EV) measures 1,850mm in width and 1,652mm in height, which makes it both broader and taller than the MG ZS EV, but a bit shorter at 4,295mm. Compared to its electric sibling, the model has a longer wheelbase of 2,700mm.

Price and Rivals
While there is no formal information, the MG Windsor EV is expected to go on sale during the festive period this year, with prices ranging between Rs 15 and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Tata Nexon EV in India.
