Bookings for the new MG Hector Plus are open at ₹50,000. Initially, it will go on sale only in the 6-seat configuration – the 7-seater version is expected to debut a few months later.
Ahead of the launch this month, MG has opened its order books for the new and upcoming Hector Plus SUV. Bookings can be made at MG's website for an amount of ₹50,000. Alongside the bookings announcement, MG has also revealed the variant and trim options for the Hector Plus. It will go on sale in eight variants (four diesel, three petrol, and a petrol-hybrid) and will be offered in four trims, Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp.
While the powertrain options will be directly carried over from the standard 5-seater Hector, there will be no non-hybrid petrol-manual option on sale for the Hector Plus, initially. Further, the Hector Plus will initially arrive only as a 6-seater with a 2+2+2 configuration. The 7-seater option, with a bench middle row, is likely to arrive a few months later.
While the diesel MT (2.0-litre diesel / 6-speed manual) and petrol DCT (1.5-litre petrol / 6-speed DCT) variants will be on sale in Style, Smart and Sharp trims, the petrol hybrid MT (1.5-litre petrol / 6-speed manual) will only be available in the top-spec Sharp trim.
At the time of its launch, the Hector Plus will lock horns with the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta and the upcoming Tata Gravitas.
