A revised version of MG's flagship SUV, the Gloster, is currently in progress, and pictures of the same undertaking rigorous road tests have surfaced online. As shown in the most recent spy photos, the SUV's front has seen the most significant changes. The car looks to have an improved upright stance, with a larger grille, revamped front bumper, and a pair of vertically stacked LED headlamps. However, when seen from the side, the MG car looks virtually the same. Some possible rear design modifications include modified LED taillights with a linked light bar, a dual exhaust system, and an updated bumper. For starters, the MG Gloster went on sale in India in October 2020. It experienced a few minor updates alongside additional versions throughout its existence, but the upcoming facelift is going to be the primary upgrade for this MG nameplate in India. While there is no formal notification, the upcoming MG Gloster Facelift is anticipated to go on sale in the country by the end of 2024.

The 2024 MG Gloster will most likely remain mechanically unaltered, which means that a 2.0-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel will be available. The former (diesel unit) generates 161bhp and 375Nm, whereas the latter (twin-turbo diesel) produces 215bhp and 480Nm. An 8-speed automated transmission is mated to both motors.

After the facelift, the SUV may sell for more money in India than its current asking price of Rs 38.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, and other vehicles are going to be competitors for the upcoming Gloster Facelift.
