MG has officially teased the all-new Cyber X SUV ahead of its highly anticipated global debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Positioned as a futuristic, tech-forward flagship, the Cyber X is expected to showcase MG’s latest advancements in electric mobility, design, and connectivity. While full details remain under wraps, the teaser image hints at a bold, angular silhouette with distinctive lighting elements, which strongly emphasises visual identity and presence. With its global debut just around the corner, the Cyber X marks MG’s next bold step in its EV evolution.
MG Cyber X Teaser Drops – Here’s What We Know So Far
The Cyber X is a rugged, angular vehicle that the brand refers to as a "City Adventure Toy," designed with an adventurous spirit in mind. The company has shared several teaser images that reveal a boxy, Land Cruiser-inspired design. The compact SUV is expected to be under 4.5m long, in line with its "city" label, making it ideal for urban environments.

The design blends retro influences with modern details, including light bars at both the front and rear, along with flush-fitting door handles. The front end, which may be divisive in terms of aesthetics, features lower-set headlights integrated into the bumper, a prominent illuminated MG logo, as well as a high-mounted light bar. Teaser shots of the sides and rear highlight squared-off wheel arches and an illuminated MG logo positioned beneath the rear light bar on the tailgate.

Although MG has yet to release full specifications for the Cyber X, it is known that the SUV will debut a brand-new E3 platform developed by SAIC, the marque’s parent company. This new foundation incorporates an advanced structural battery system known as ‘cell-to-body’ technology, which has recently been implemented in some Leapmotor electric models. Rather than housing the battery as a separate unit, this approach fuses it directly into the vehicle’s frame, likely resulting in a more spacious interior and a taller ride height. Both attributes align well with the Cyber X’s aggressive, off-road-focused styling and are expected to enhance its overall practicality and presence.
