MG Motor India will debut the Comet EV tomorrow in India. The compact electric hatchback is 1,505mm wide, 2,974mm long, and 1,631mm tall. Moreover, the compact vehicle features a wheelbase of 2,010mm. Based on the Wuling Air EV, currently accessible in the Indonesian market, the EV will be manufactured on SAIC's Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform. In terms of styling, the MG Comet EV sports various high-end features, such as split headlamps, LED elements that cover the width of the vehicle, striking alloy wheels, a tall C-Pillar, and a dual-tone paint job. Overall, it has a quadricycle-like design. It will be the automaker's second electric vehicle after the MG ZS EV in our market. After much anticipation, MG will finally reveal the model in India. MG Comet EV: Exterior
The compact electric hatchback has a boxy shape. It features LED DRLS, LED headlights, LED turn signals, and split headlamps. As mentioned, the upcoming electric MG car has a chrome strip that spans the entire width of the vehicle and an LED light bar below the windscreen. The carmaker has provided a charging port underneath the MG logo up front, and split LED taillights are set high on the rear. The electric vehicle will run on 13-inch wheels. White, Pink, Yellow, Blue, and Green are colour choices for the EV.
MG Comet EV: Interior
Just like other MG models, the compact EV will also be loaded with features inside. It will sport two 10.25-inch touchscreen screens for the infotainment system and the driver's display, manual air conditioning with rotary dials, and telescoping steering wheel adjustability. Further, a rear parking camera, Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESC) are all standard features to ensure passengers' safety.
MG Comet EV: Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain, the compact electric hatchback will presumably have two battery options: 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh. The smaller 17.3kWh battery will offer a 200-kilometre driving range. The larger 26.7kWh battery pack, on the other hand, will offer a driving range of 300 kilometre. The battery, when connected to an electric motor, will be able to provide 45bhp and 90Nm. The larger 26.7kWh will produce 50bhp and 110Nm. Using an AC charger, the battery will be fully charged in about 8.5 hours.

MG Comet EV: Price, Bookings & Availability
The new EV by MG is slated to debut tomorrow. Bookings for the EV are anticipated to commence on the same day. Price-wise, the MG Comet EV is expected to retail between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh in India. All prices are ex-showroom. Industry reports reveal that it could launch in our market within 2 to 3 months of the debut.
