MG has submitted a design patent for the Wuling Binguo in India, which is already available in China and Indonesia. The electric hatch has the same GSEV (Global Small Electric Vehicle) platform as the Comet in India. However, it stands out with its five-door look, featuring several contoured surfaces and distinctive characteristics. The electric vehicle sports all-black pillars, X-shaped daytime running lights, and wraparound LED taillights. It has a two-spoke steering wheel, additional control buttons and stalks, and a dual-screen arrangement for infotainment and instrumentation, similar to the Comet. MG Binguo: Key Highlights
The global-spec Binguo has two powertrain options: a smaller 31.9kWh battery with a 41bhp motor and a larger 37.9kWh battery with a 68bhp motor. The former has a range of 333 kilometres, while the latter offers a range of 410 kilometres. The Binguo EV supports DC fast charging and features a charging connector on the front right fender, unlike its Indian counterpart, the Comet. It is 1,708mm wide, 1,580mm tall, and 3,950mm long. Compared to its potential market competitor – the Tata Tiago – the Binguo is 181mm longer and 31mm wider. Upon its launch, the Binguo will sit between the ZS EV and the Comet in the range. However, there is currently no confirmation of its entry into our market.

Mechanically, the new editions retain the 2.0-litre diesel and 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine options. They also keep the feature list of the original model, including a dual panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with massage and ventilation functions, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Notably, the Snowstorm is only offered in a 7-seater layout, the Gloster Desertstorm is available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. Both models are priced at 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
