The all-new Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will have an official global debut on April 17. Mercedes-Benz has shared the first teaser of the SUV, without revealing any specific details. The new SUV will be the first EV under the Maybach brand. The upcoming all-new Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will be fully revealed at the upcoming Auto Shanghai, China. The teaser revealed nothing about the exterior or the interior, but according to market reports, the new model will borrow the styling of the standard EQS version, which would include similar LED headlamps, split LED headlamps, full-width DRLs, and more. Let's look at some other details about this upcoming model, which will be positioned above the EQS 580 4Matic.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680: What do we know so far?
At the Munich auto show in 2021, the carmaker revealed the concept of an electric Maybach SUV, which had characteristics of a familiar Maybach car. Further, it featured a two-tone paint job. The exterior and interior of the prototype EV had Maybach branding, and it featured monoblock wheels. Similar to all Maybachs, the three-person second-row bench seat was swapped out for roomy individual seats with heated neck pillows and massage functions.

Outside, the upcoming model will likely sport stylistic updates, including a front grille with vertically slatted covering and a lower air vent made of chrome mesh. It is also expected to have chrome wheels. We also expect to see the renowned three-pointed star on the hood.
The full-dashboard Hyperscreen is a possibility for the upcoming EQS 680 SUV. Further, the design inside will reportedly be unchanged from the current EQS SUV. The new Maybach will presumably come with luxurious upholstery. On the safety front, the all-new model could get 10-12 airbags and ADAS features like cross-traffic assist, collision warning, blind spot warning, lane assist, parking assist, and more. It is also likely to sport passive electronic features, including stability control, ABS, EBD, BBA, traction control, and hill hold assist.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680: Mechanical Details
The automaker has not revealed any exact detail regarding the new model yet. However, industry reports suggest that the upcoming Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV will be driven by a 107kWh battery. It will probably come equipped with two motors, capable of producing 536bhp and 858Nm, and the all-wheel-drive system. Further, it's likely to have an electric range of 458km.
