Mercedes-Benz India has just added another car to its AMG line-up, and it’s now also available in India. The all-new GL 63 AMG was launched last month in Mumbai, and it’s a big, bold and beautiful machine that features some of the most advanced technology that you could possibly find in a production car today. The GL 63 AMG has a 5.5-litre V8 bi-turbo engine, which develops a peak output of 557bhp – the highest in its segment – and also a maximum torque of 760Nm. The engine is mated to the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic transmission that incorporates various systems for reduced friction losses. The GL 63 AMG can race from 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The unique AMG Ride Control sports suspension with Active Curve System roll stabilisation provides high-level driving dynamics and the comfort that Mercedes-Benz is synonymous with. The interiors are also extremely luxurious, and feature a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system with 14 speakers, wireless headphones, and 2 infrared remote controls so that passengers can control their own sources of entertainment. Be sure to check out our review of the GL 63 AMG in this issue. If you’d like one in your driveway, however, be sure to have 1.66 crores lying spare.
