Mercedes Benz India recently launched the all-new and rejuvenated E-Class in India at a launch price which begins from Rs. 41.5 lakhs to 49.90 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). And now Mercedes has started rolling out the locally produced version of the car from its Chakan, Pune based facility.

Mercedes has sold more than 11 million units of the E-Class globally, and India has contributed quiet a lot to that number. Mercedes has sold more than 23,000 units of the E-Class since its introduction here. India truly is a very important market for Mercedes as the E-Class has been the most sold luxury sedan for them in India.

Mr. Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “The new E-Class with its blend of stunning new design idiom, pioneering Intelligence Assistance Systems, exemplary safety and comfort features, luxurious appointments and best in class modern range of infotainment systems, creates a whole new benchmark in the luxury full-size segment.”

Mercedes has already launched the A-Class, the new E-class in India, in the first quarter of the fiscal year. There is news that the E63 AMG too will be launched soon. Will this be the year that Mercedes Benz finds its footing and reaches the top? We will have to wait and watch.
