Mercedes-Benz India Records Best-Ever Quarterly Sales in 2024
In the first quarter of 2024, Mercedes-Benz India achieved a remarkable milestone, with sales soaring to a record-breaking 5,412 units, marking a notable 15 per cent surge compared to the previous year. This positive momentum extended throughout the fiscal year 2023-24, culminating in the sale of a total of 18,123 units, reflecting a substantial 10 per cent increase over the preceding fiscal year, driven primarily by favourable market conditions. Notably, March 2024 emerged as the standout month in terms of sales performance among all months in India for Mercedes-Benz.
The company credits much of its stellar performance to its strategic focus on electric vehicles (EVs), as evidenced by the remarkable 130 per cent year-on-year growth in its BEV portfolio during the first quarter of 2024. Mercedes-Benz plans to amplify its BEV lineup fourfold by introducing notable additions such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV and two other vehicles in the remaining quarters of 2024.
