Mercedes-Benz India has launched the S500 Cabriolet for Rs. 2.25 crore and the C300 Cabriolet for Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Mercedes-Benz has added two more cars to their fleet of convertible offerings in India with the launch of the S500 and the C300 Cabriolets making it a total of four convertible cars (E400 Cabriolet and SLC 43 AMG) to chose from if you want a convertible Mercedes.

The S500 Cabriolet that was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year, which is the first four seater convertible that Mercedes has made since 1971, comes with a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 that develops 455bhp and 700Nm of peak torque mated to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The S-500 cabriolet with all that power and torque, accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Mercedes-Benz has given the S500 Cabriolet AIRMATIC suspension as standard. The convertible soft fabric roof, which is available with four colour options, can be raised or lowered under 20-seconds either remotely from outside the car or even on the move up to a maximum speed of 50km/h. The climate control system in the car is also clever as it can detect and adjust the cooling of the cabin with the roof up or down. to make the S500 Cabriolet unique, Mercedes- will over 13,000 customisable options on the car making sure that no two S Cabriolet is similar in India.
Based on the C-Class sedan, the C-300 Cabriolet has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that develops 245bhp and 370Nm of torque. It comes as standard with Mercedes’ 9G-TRONIC 9-Speed automatic gearbox. The 0-100km/h acceleration time of the car is just 6.4 seconds.

As an optional package costing Rs. 73,000, the S500 Cabriolet will come with a "Star Ease' 2 year maintenance package.
The S500 and the C300 Cabriolets are now on sale in India and will be brought in as completely-bilt-up units.
