Mercedes-Benz today launched the S 600 Guard in India with price starting from Rs. 8.9 crores. The car provides first-class comfort, an outstanding AIRMATIC suspension, a V12 engine, intelligent driver assistance systems and unrestricted day-to-day suitability along with providing safety like no other car in the world.
The engine of the S 600 Guard is a V12 unit churning out a maximum power of 530bhp. The 830Nm of torque and the 7G-Tronic automatic transmission make it extremely easy for the car to quickly accelerate in case of an emergency.
Offering the best in class safety with the usage of special steel in the car’s construction, the glasses of the car are coated with polycarbonate on the inside for splinter protection, and have exceptional see-through characteristics thanks to their laminated structure. This combination not only protects the occupants from a ballistic attack, but also from explosive devices. With all these qualities, the S 600 Guard meets all the personal protection requirements of the relevant authorities in Germany, and is the first vehicle to be comprehensively certificated for the highest ballistic protection in resistance class VR9.
