With the launch of two new models slated for tomorrow, the German car marque, Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to take advantage of the ongoing festive season in India. One of them will be the C43 AMG sedan, but the GLE facelift will be the first to arrive on our home soil. The GLE is getting a mid-cycle facelift that includes a new mild-hybrid diesel engine, a plug-in hybrid variant called the 400e 4Matic, and minor interior revisions along with several additional features and slight styling modifications. In the domestic market, the price range of the previous-generation GLE SUV ranged from Rs 91.20 lakh to Rs 1.08 crore for the more potent diesel version. Meanwhile, the facelifted model is expected to command a starting price close to Rs 95 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Here's all that you can expect from Mercedes' all-new GLE.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift: Exterior Design
In its most recent incarnation, the auto major altered the appearance of the premium SUV. With optional multibeam LED headlamps, there are four light points connecting the flare-style light elements that make up the daytime running lights. Updates have also been made to the taillight cluster; the GLE Coupe now has two bars and the GLE has two horizontal blocks. New grilles and front and back bumpers are featured on both versions. The AMG Line exterior package is now standard on the GLE Coupe, which is noteworthy. For the uninitiated, the redesigned GLE SUV is a facelift that was unveiled to the public in February this year. The model's profile is mostly unchanged from the previous model.
Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift: Interior and Features
The new upholstery options, touch-capacitive controls on the steering wheel, and galvanised metal air conditioning vents—akin to those seen on the Maybach GLS—are among the interior attractions. New colour schemes for the all-new pair include Bahia Brown/Black and Catalana Beige/Black, which are only available in the GLE. Its dynamic AMG Line package is complemented by a distinctive dual-tone Black and Classic Red combination. The 'Manufaktur Piano Lacquer Black Flowing Lines' trim from the Maybach GLS has also been added to both versions. Furthermore, two new capabilities are now available on the 13-speaker, 590-watt Burmester surround sound system: Dolby Atmos and personal sound setup. Energising air control and two 100W USB outlets in the back armrest are optional upgrades.
The GLE and GLE Coupe continue to use the same single-piece panel system from the previous model, which has two 12.3-inch screens, as opposed to the split-screen arrangement on more recent models like the C-Class and the GLC. But with the latest version of MBUX, the firm has updated it and added wireless connectivity for users of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Besides, the model also gets a new MBUX Smart Home Function.
Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift: Engine and Transmission
Three versions of the new GLE SUV—the 300 d, GLE 450 d, and the GLE 450—are anticipated to be available from the manufacturer. The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine will provide a peak torque of 550Nm and 265bhp of maximum power when paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. A 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel mill with the same transmission option will be offered as well. The power and torque will improve by roughly 100bhp and 200Nm, respectively. A 3.0-litre 6-cylinder unit will be the only available petrol option. It churns out 375bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 500Nm.
