Mercedes-Benz will announce the prices for its much-awaited EQA in India tomorrow, i.e., July 8. The upcoming SUV is an electric version of the ICE-powered GLA, which starts at Rs 50.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Internationally, the EQA comes in four variants: EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic. In India, however, it will only be available in the long-range EQA 250+ variant with a 70.5 kWh battery. The electric SUV retains the overall shape of its ICE counterpart, with slight front and rear design modifications such as all-black headlamps, an enclosed grille with small starry elements, linked taillights, and 19-inch alloy wheels. It will be accessible in multiple paint options, including Mountain Grey, High-tech Silver, Polar White, Night Black, Cosmos Black, Spectral Blue, Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallic, and Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno. Mercedes-Benz EQA: Powertrain
The EQA 250+ will have a 70.5 kWh battery and a front axle-mounted electric motor with 188bhp and 385Nm of performance numbers. With this setup, the SUV is claimed to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 8.6 seconds and attain a top speed of 160km/h. The WLTP-certified range stands at 560 kilometres.
The EQA 250+ can be fully charged in 7 hours and 15 minutes with an 11kW AC charger, according to the German carmaker. It can also be charged from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. Notably, the SUV will get an 11kW charger as standard.
Mercedes-Benz EQA: Interior and Features
The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ will include several amenities such as two 10-inch screens one for the digital driver’s display and another for the infotainment system), a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Burmester sound system, a heads-up display, connected car tech, and power-adjustable memory seats. The SUV will also be equipped with a 360-degree camera with park assist, blind spot assist, seven airbags, and ADAS features for safety.

Mercedes-Benz EQA: Price and Rivals
The SUV is expected to carry a lower price tag than the Mercedes-Benz EQB, which currently retails at Rs 77.75 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Kia EV6, the BMW iX1, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
