Mercedes launched the all-new E63 AMG sports saloon today in an event held at the Buddh International Circuit, Delhi. Essentially it is the E-Class but this one is a different breed of horse altogether.

The E63 AMG gets a huge performance dosage by Mercedes’ in-house tuning division – AMG and that’s what makes it a monster to drive. Powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, the E63 AMG produces a massive 557bhp and 720Nm torques.

The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and yes, it also gets paddle shifts. This rear-wheel drive sedan can go from a standstill to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds and the top speed has been limited to 250 km/h.

The E63 AMG gets an AMG twin blade radiator grille in chrome and the A-wing in the AMG front fascia. To make it look even sportier Mercedes has packed in two sets of twin chrome tailpipes belonging to the AMG sports exhaust system.

The interiors too are treated to this sportiness as the E63 AMG gets black upholstery, AMG sports seats, and a black Nappa leather steering wheel rim with flattened top and bottom finished in Alcantara.

Mercedes has priced the E63 AMG at Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
