Ahead of its official debut, Mercedes-Benz has revealed a video teasing the all new E-Class Coupe on their YouTube channel.
Mercedes-Benz is scheduled to globally debut the two-door coupe version of the E-Class on December 14, 2016. Before revealing the car, Mercedes-Benz has published a teaser video on their YouTube channel featuring certain design cues of the new coupe.
Like the old E-Class coupe, the new one retains the pillarless design for the two-door coupe, and is shorter than the four-door sedan. The video also reveals the tail lamps are in line with the latest generation C and S-Class Coupes. The front looks identical to the latest generation E-Class, but the bumper will differ from engine specifications. The headlamps with the twin LED DRLs which give the E-Class its signature design.
A selection of the engine line-up from the sedan will power the E-Class coupe with the 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. The E300 will get the 2.0-litre turbo engine which develops 241bhp. The 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 will also be offered with the coupe, but depending on the power output, with 329bhp the car would be badged as a E400, the same engine when producing 369bhp would get the E43 AMG badge. The more powerful E63 AMG V8 powered version of the car however will be revealed at a later date.
