Mercedes-Benz will launch its two new vehicles on August 8 in India – the CLE Cabriolet and the GLC 43 4Matic Coupe. Before that happens, the company has already shared teasers of the models on its social media handle, previewing some design elements. The first thing that can be seen on the CLE Cabriolet is its sleek LED headlamps, which take cues from the C-Class sedan. In profile, the car seems to feature a low silhouette, large wheel arches, and big wheels.
On the other hand, teaser images of the GLC 43 4Matic Coupe reveal a coupe-like roofline, an AMG-specific grille with vertical slats, and large air intakes. While the shadowy teaser image limits what we can see, expect the GLC 43 Coupe to get rounded twin tailpipes and forged 21-inch alloy wheels. Both models will be brought to our market as completely built units (CBU).

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Powertrain, Features
Upon arrival, the CLE Cabriolet will be the third convertible in the company's India lineup. Touted as the biggest car in the segment, the CLE Cabriolet is expected to be offered either in 300 4Matic or 450 4Matic form. If so, the upcoming convertible will get either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine or a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine under the hood. The smaller petrol engine makes 254bhp in the global-spec CLE 300 4Matic, while the larger one belts out 375bhp in the CLE 450 4Matic.
The powertrain setup of the CLE will also include 48V mild-hybrid tech and a 9-speed torque converter automatic. Expected features include an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, and a 2+2 seating layout. The price could go beyond the Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom) mark.
Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe: Powertrain, Features
The GLC 43 Coupe will also offer a hybrid punch, like the CLE. Powering the Coupe will be a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with mild-hybrid tech. In the global-spec vehicle, this setup develops 421bhp and 500Nm of torque, resulting in a claimed 0–100km/h acceleration time of 4.7 seconds before topping out at 250km/h. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Since it will be an AMG, the AMG-specific elements, including a steering wheel, pedals, floor mats, infotainment, and instrument displays, will be offered on the inside.
