The cabin looks similar, with a three-screen setup and MB.OS. However, there are some notable software customisations to suit the preferences of the Chinese market. Among the key additions is the 'Just Talk' feature, which enables seamless voice interaction in both Chinese and English from any seat.
The voice system now includes Dolby Atmos for spatial audio, generating relevant sounds like rain during weather updates. While the MB.OS features local avatars with regional voices and visuals, the navigation system uses AMAP data for lane guidance, 3D maps, and traffic light information. In addition, the co-driver display uses AI to personalise content based on the viewer's past preferences.
Rear passengers enjoy increased legroom from the longer wheelbase, along with a 10mm extension and softer cushioning on the seats.
For the Chinese market, the CLA L will be purely electric, offering a significant CLTC range of up to 866 kilometres. Moreover, its ultra-fast 320 kW charging system enables drivers to gain 370 kilometres of range in 10 minutes.
