Mercedes adds a touch of flair to two of its AMG models.
Mercedes-AMG has introduced two special edition models in India called GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt and SLC 43 RedArt Editions.
The new OrangeArt and RedArt limited editions come with enhanced appeal via subtle exterior and interior appointments. The cars are limited to a total of 25 units. The GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt is priced ₹1.02 Crore and AMG SLC 43 RedArt Edition is priced ₹87.48 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The special edition GLE 43 sports 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels in an exclusive high-gloss black painted finish with orange rim flange, orange highlights on the front apron, full LED Headlamps with black LED ring & Intelligent Light System, sports seats upholstered in black nappa leather/ microfibre with orange piping with contrasting top stitching in grey, floor mats with AMG lettering and piping in orange. The SUV will be available in Polar White, Obsidian Black and Selenite grey colours.
Coming to SLC 43 RedArt, it gets red flics in the AMG bumper, red fins on the wings, red brake callipers with AMG lettering, trim on the front and rear aprons in red, exclusive seat design with black leather seats featuring silver pearl nappa leather inserts, red contrasting top stitching & head restraints in carbon-fibre effect embossed leather with embroidered Edition logo, and optional seats & door centre panels in two-tone nappa leather.
Both these models are equipped with the same 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 petrol engine that churns out 520Nm of twist force. However, power output varies on both models - the SLC pumps 362bhp while the GLE makes higher 385bhp. However, due to lighter kerb weight, the SLC dismisses the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.7 seconds - a full second lesser than the GLE Coupe.
