Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the much-awaited AMG E53 Cabriolet in India at a price of Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). The E53 Cabriolet is the auto manufacturer's first launch of the new year, and the latest model now enters the '53' family, which includes the E 53 AMG performance sedan, the GLE 53 AMG performance SUV, and the EQS 53 AMG, all of which are already offered in India. Notably, the new car has been launched under the renewed leadership of Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. In addition to launching the new luxury convertible, the firm used the opportunity to unveil its roadmap for the Indian market in 2023 by announcing the launch of 10 upcoming products this year. Now without any further ado, let's quickly go through the key highlights of the new AMG E53 Cabriolet.
Speaking of the exterior, the Panamericana grille, which features vertical slats, is a distinguishing feature of the new Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG Cabriolet. There are LED headlights and DRLs on either side of this grille. The convertible has an aggressive front bumper design that is paired with an equally sharp rear bumper to give it a sportier stance. Other notable exterior features of the vehicle include a soft-top roof, quad-tip exhausts, and two-piece LED taillights.19-inch alloy wheels are standard on the Mercedes-AMG E 53 Cabriolet, and 20-inch wheels are also available.

The E53 Cabriolet has an all-wheel-drive system, just like the latest Mercedes-AMG models. Moreover, the car also includes a launch control system, traction on all four corners, and driver assist automation. The adjustable modes of the AMG E53 Cabriolet enable you to substantially alter its performance. The E53 features an active exhaust system as well as an air suspension system with active body controls.
The brand-new E53 AMG Cabriolet is the luxury carmaker's fourth 53-badged vehicle. A 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine combined with a mild-hybrid motor will power this new model. The engine is able to produce 520Nm of peak torque and 429bhp of maximum power as a combined output. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission for transmission duties, driving all four wheels. This engine is capable of accelerating the car from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and can attain a top speed of 250km/h. Moreover, the EQ boost electric motor provides up to 21bhp of additional power.

Coming to the interior, the new Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet features a large single-piece screen that contains a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with silver chrome, a music system from Burmester, AMG sports seats finished in napa leather, wireless charging, and ambient lighting. The E53 Cabriolet has seven airbags and has earned a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP. Further, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on the car.
