Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet Deliveries Begin in India
In January this year, Mercedes-Benz India launched the AMG E53 Cabriolet for Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). Now, in a recent development, the premium automaker has begun delivering the sport sedan in the Indian market.
Mercedes-Benz India launched the AMG E53 Cabriolet in January this year for Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). The premium auto manufacturer has now commenced the deliveries of the sport sedan in the Indian market. According to a senior company official, Mercedes-Benz expects India to be its fastest-growing market globally, repeating the feat it achieved last year. Mercedes-Benz India, which had planned to launch ten new products this year, is delaying some of them until the second and third quarters of 2023 (calendar year) because of supply chain limitations, in order to avoid further increasing the waiting period for its products. The carmaker increased its sales by 41 per cent to 15,822 units in 2022, up from 11,242 units in 2021. Its previous high sales totaled 15,583 units in 2018. Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet: Exterior Design
When it comes to the exterior, the Panamericana grille with vertical slats is a standout feature of the new Mercedes-Benz E53 AMG Cabriolet. On either side of this grille, there are LED headlights and DRLs. To give it a sportier stance, the convertible has an aggressive front bumper design that is paired with an equally aggressive rear bumper. A soft-top roof, quad-tip exhausts, and two-piece LED taillights are among the vehicle's other notable exterior features. The Mercedes-AMG E 53 Cabriolet comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, but 20-inch wheels are also available.
Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet: Interior Features
The interior of the new Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet includes a large single-piece screen with a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel with silver chrome, a Burmester music system, AMG sports seats finished in napa leather, wireless charging, and ambient lighting. Euro NCAP awarded the E53 Cabriolet a 5-star rating due to its seven airbags. Furthermore, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on the vehicle.

Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet: Powertrain and Other Key Details
The new E53 AMG Cabriolet is Mercedes-Benz's fourth 53-badged car. This new model is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine combined with a mild-hybrid motor. As a combined output, the engine can generate 520Nm of peak torque and 429bhp of maximum power. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. This engine can propel the car from 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h. Furthermore, the EQ boost electric motor adds up to 21bhp of power.
The E53 Cabriolet, like the latest Mercedes-AMG models, has all-wheel drive. The vehicle also has a launch control system, all-wheel traction, and driver-assist automation. The AMG E53 Cabriolet's adjustable modes allow you to significantly alter its performance. The E53 comes standard with an active exhaust system as well as air suspension with active body controls.
