It's October, and Mercedes-Benz India has launched 13 products this year, including the facelifts. The 2025 AMG G 63 SUV joined the fray a week ago. But, there is one more to come next month. The Indian arm of the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz recently announced that the AMG C 63 S E Performance will arrive on November 12 as a four-cylinder plug-in hybrid vehicle with four-wheel drive. Speaking of, powering the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged hybrid engine, the world's most powerful inline-four unit. The turbo engine gets an F1-derived electrically assisted turbocharger, eliminating lag and providing improved low-end response.
Mercedes-Benz says the rear axle-mounted electric motor with a 6.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack adds a boost of 198bhp and 320Nm. Combined with the electric motor, the 4-pot turbo engine makes 670bhp and 1,020Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission, assisted by the company's 4Matic AWD system (standard). The AMG C 63 S E Performance hits 100km/h in a claimed time of 3.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 280km/h.
