Lando Norris, the driver for the Mclaren F1 team, is enjoying one of the many pleasures that come with being a Formula One star. Norris has managed to get one of just 765 McLaren 765LT Spiders. The 23-year-old, who began working on the design 18 months ago, has now taken possession of the convertible he personalised with the brand. Having been a member of the McLaren racing team since 2019 certainly helps, yet having contacts inside the company is essential if you want to buy one of these rare supercars. McLaren Automotive has released a video on YouTube showing the racing driver making the trip to Woking to pick up his carbon blue McLaren. Given that Lando is British, you may wonder why did he choose a left-hand-drive configuration for his 765LT Spider. You see, he no longer resides in the United Kingdom, as he relocated to Monaco some time ago. Norris and his employer Zak Brown signed the under-hood engine compartment, which might enhance the car's resale value beyond its current USD 490,810 price tag.

Special Touches on Lando Norris' MacLaren 765LT
The bright yellow brake callipers of the car are a tribute to his helmet, and the four stripes represent his race number. Letters ‘LN’ are embroidered on the headrests, marking the ownership of the vehicle. The 765LT also has a unique plaque that reads, ‘exclusively commissioned for Lando Norris by MSO’, although it doesn't identify the vehicle's production number. Signatures from several persons engaged in the creation of the automobile, including McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, round out the unique touches.
MacLaren 765LT: Engine
A seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox sends the 4.0-litre engine's 755bhp and 800Nm of torque to the wheels. The McLaren 765LT is able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds and to 200km/h in 7.2 seconds. It also has a claimed top speed of 330km/h.

Although McLaren currently offers an electric V6, the company has no plans to phase out its traditional eight-cylinder engines. It has tied up with engine maker Ricardo to produce a new hybrid V8 to be used in future supercars and possibly in a hypercar as well.
The fact that Lando Norris has his own customised McLaren 765LT Spider speaks much about the rising star's status. He has customised the car to reflect his own sense of style and who he is as a motorist. This personalised vehicle will be a constant reminder of his allegiance to the track and will win the hearts of young fans and the respect of seasoned collectors everywhere as he continues to race.
