McLaren Automotive has introduced the 765LT Spider supercar, officially marking its entry into the Indian market. The automobile manufacturer claimed that India is definitely a crucial market for increasing its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and that the start of its operations here is focused on this very objective.
Paul Harris, McLaren Automotive's Managing Director for APAC and China, stated, 'We are thrilled to officially start our operations in India. McLaren would offer the full breadth of its model range to customers and enthusiasts in the country. I am excited for McLaren patrons to experience the breathtaking performance and dynamic excellence embodied in our beautiful supercars.'
The brand also claimed that a full-time service centre is assisting the firm's new facility and will focus on offering a smooth customer experience to ensure McLaren's long-term expansion in the domestic market.
The company also inaugurated McLaren Mumbai – its first dealership in the country. Infinity Cars, which is the brand's authorised dealer partner in India, commenced deliveries of the firm's new models earlier this year. As of now, the Mumbai showroom has delivered 10 vehicles.
The 765Lt Spider is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 755bhp and 800Nm of maximum torque and is mated to a seven-speed gearbox. The car has a top speed of 330km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
