Italian luxury car maker Maserati has officially returned to India and will operate out of parent company Fiat Chrysler.

Maserati plans to open three dealerships in the metros of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore in third quarter of 2015. Dedicated service facilities are planned for all locations, with all personnel trained by authorised Maserati Trainers.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Bojan Jankulovski, Head of Operations for Maserati India, said: “Driving a Maserati is like wearing a tailor made suit in a world of uniforms. Our re-entry into the Indian market is a commitment to our customers as there is a definitive demand for exclusive luxury products, including cars, in the market. By entering India, and other new markets around the world, we are able to grow by expansion.”

Maserati’s range starts with the Ghibli saloon and the flagship Quattroporte, with power output ranging from 330-550bhp. The Ghibli has been priced at Rs 1.1 crore while the Quattroporte commands a heftier price tags of Rs 1.5 crore.

The GranTurismo coupe and the cabriolet version of the same are equipped with aspirated V8 engines with power output varying between 405-460bhp. The GT Coupe comes with a price tag of Rs 1.8 crore, while the GranTurismo Cabriolet is a tad more expensive at Rs 2 crore.
