Maserati’s all-new MC20 has been listed on the company's Indian website. The Italian supercar is expected to debut in India by the end of this year.
Soon, the Maserati Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte will be joined by the MC20 in Maserati's Indian showrooms. The supercar has been listed on the manufacturer’s India website, and Maserati's dealerships have already commenced bookings. Deliveries of the supercar are likely to commence by February 2022.
The Maserati MC20 made its global debut in 2020. The Italian supercar is based on a new carbon fibre chassis. The body of the car was designed in-house by Maserati at its Centro Stile facility in Turin.
The ‘Nettuno’ 3.0-litre turbo-V6 engine has been completely designed in-house by Maserati and incorporates Formula 1 engine tech. The engine is rated at 621bhp at 7,500rpm and 730Nm at 3,000rpm. All this power makes the car do the 0 – 100km/h sprint in 2.9 seconds and attain a top speed of 325km/h. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The powertrain has four drive modes – Wet, GT, Sport, and Corsa.
The MC20 is equipped with active shock absorbers. The suspension setup includes a short spindle semi-virtual double-wishbone setup for both front and rear. The semi-virtual setup allows for a flat contact patch for maximum grip and control around corners at high speeds. The front axle can be raised by 50mm at speeds of up to 40km/h – a relief for buyers in India indeed.
