The new Ghibli GranLusso from Maserati has been given cosmetic updates and autonomous driving technology. The car is set to make its official debut at the Chengdu Motorshow in China to display its aesthetic changes in full view of the public.
The front grille gets additional chrome elements which are now thicker and styled to be more aggressive. The lower air-dam grille has also been redesigned. The headlamps are new and feature Adaptive Full LED Headlights with glare free Matrix High-Beam. The base of the rear bumper has been reshaped to look sharper in comparison to the old model. Maserati claims that these cosmetic changes to the front and rear bumpers have helped them achieve better aerodynamic efficiency.
However, styling changes are not the only thing Maserati have included with the Ghibli GranLusso. The new four-door sedan will also be offered with semi-autonomous driving technology. This makes the GranLusso the first Maserati model to be offered with active autonomous drive assist system functionalities.
