The Sports Limited Edition Package includes body graphics, chrome grille garnish, prominent wheel arches, leather-wrapped steering wheel and two-tone door sill guards.
With the Mahindra and Hyundai entering the compact SUV space in the last few months, Maruti Suzuki seems to be feeling the heat. The Vitara Brezza hasn’t received a facelift or a generation change since its introduction in 2016. To keep things relatively fresh, the Manesar-based carmaker has introduced a Sports Limited Edition Package for the compact SUV. This package includes body graphics, chrome garnish on the grille, dual-tone door-sills, leather-wrapped steering, and more prominent wheel arches. As part of the package, customers can add this to their Vitara Brezza at an additional cost of Rs 29,990.
Everything else about the car remains unchanged. At the heart, the car will continue with the 1.3-litre diesel as the only engine on offer. This motor pushes out 89bhp and 200Nm. This motor comes paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT.
Interestingly, even today, the Vitara Brezza manages to record reasonable numbers on the sales charts. In the last six months, more than 80,000 units of the car have been sold – that’s an average of around 13,000 units each month. In 2018-19, Maruti Suzuki sold over 1,57,880 units of Vitara Brezza, leading the segment with a market share of over 44 percent.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza holds its own against the newly launched Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3OO, Ford EcoSport, and the Tata Nexon.
