The Maruti Suzuki Swift has crossed the 30 lakh-unit sales milestone in India nearly two months after Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation Swift at an ex-showroom price ranging between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.64 lakh. This is significant, considering cumulative global sales for the Swift hatchback stand at 65 lakh+ units.
Introduced in India in May 2005, the first-generation Swift laid a foundation for next-generation models and helped achieve a 10 lakh-unit sales milestone in November 2013. In 2018, the number doubled to 20 lakh units, while the last 10 lakh samples took about 6.5 years to reach home buyers. 'The Swift has been more than just a car to the millions who have owned it – it has been a symbol of fun, freedom and exhilaration. With each new generation, the Swift has continued to raise the bar, offering cutting-edge technology, contemporary style, and that unmistakable 'Swift DNA' which continues to captivate customers,' said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

The cabin of the new Swift is well-equipped with a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, as well as an analogue instrument cluster, Arkamys sound system, rear AC vents, Type-C charging port, cruise control, auto climate control, keyless entry, and push-button start/stop. The safety kit includes six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, ESC, and seatbelt reminders for all seats.
