The Super Carry S-CNG becomes the sixth CNG model in Maruti Suzuki's line-up to get the BS-VI upgrade.
While the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry was already available as a petrol-only BS-VI compliant LCV, the homegrown carmaker has now launched an S-CNG version of the mini-goods carrier at ₹5.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). All variants of the Super Carry (Petrol, S-CNG & Petrol Cab Chassis) are powered by the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder MPFI G12B petrol motor that develops 64bhp & 85 Nm of torque (S-CNG) or 72bhp & 98Nm of torque (Petrol variants). A 5-speed manual transmission is standard.
Sharing his thoughts on the launch of the Super Carry BS6 S-CNG, Mr Shashank Srivastava (Executive Director - Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited) said, 'With over 56,000 units sold through the 320+ strong Maruti Suzuki Commercial Channel network, Super Carry has been consistently outperforming the mini-truck segment...the bi-fuel S-CNG variant has been accepted very well in the small commercial vehicle market and already contributes around 8% to the Super Carry sales. The introduction of the competitively priced BS-VI compliant S-CNG variant, coupled with the Government’s renewed focus on CNG fuel availability, will further strengthen the Super Carry brand.'
As part of the standard equipment list, the Super Carry offers features such as rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, a lockable glovebox, front disc brakes, a 12V power socket & a secondary 5-litre petrol tank (S-CNG variant).
