Maruti Suzuki has added the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as a standard safety feature on the S-Presso and Alto K10. Interestingly, these two models were among the last in the automaker's lineup to come without the Electronic Stability Program (ESP). However, now both the S-Presso and Alto K10 have this feature in all variants, with no price change. The move seems to improve the safety technology in Maruti Suzuki vehicles. Price-wise, the Alto K10 costs between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh. The S-Presso, on the other hand, ranges in price from Rs 4.26 lakh to Rs 6.12 lakh. Read on more for details on these Maruti Suzuki cars. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

What Is the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)?

The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) avoids skidding and keeps vehicles moving in the right direction. It includes electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TCS), and anti-lock braking system (ABS), and employs an array of sensors to gauge the movement of the car. An electronic control unit uses this information to compute and modify the vehicle's direction, restricting engine output and applying the brakes for better control and stability.
