Maruti Suzuki Jimny's price has been leaked online ahead of the official launch and it will likely take away a huge chunk of the lifestyle SUV segment in India. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is one such anticipated sport utility vehicle, and India is one of the first places to get the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door, despite Suzuki selling over 3 million Jimny 3-door globally. Maruti Suzuki's Jimny 5-door was unveiled in full at Auto Expo 2023, although its pricing was not disclosed at the time. The five-door SUV will be equipped with four-wheel drive as standard across all variants. Compared to the three-door version, this one is meant to be more functional and lightweight.

A Leaked dealer invoice puts the base price of a Maruti Suzuki Jimny in India at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). What this implies for consumers is that the Maruti Suzuki Jimny will have more standard equipment and 4X4 capability at a much more affordable price. There will be two variants of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny available: the Zeta and the Alpha. The starting price for the manual transmission Zeta model will likely stand at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-of-the-line Alpha model might cost Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Safety Features
All trims of the luxury 4x4 SUV come standard with advanced safety features including anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stability programme (ESP), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), and braking assist (BA). Other safety features available on the new model include a rearview camera, seatbelt pre-tensioners/force limiters, side-impact door beams, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, an engine immobiliser, and three-point emergency locking retractor seat belts.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Powertrain
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny's hood conceals a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. The highest power output of the motor is 103bhp and the maximum torque is 134Nm. It may be had with either a 5-speed manual (MT) or 4-speed automatic (AT) transmission. The low-range transmission of Maruti's AllGrip Pro 4x4 technology ensures that all four wheels get power. Also, Jimny is light at just 1,200kg.
