Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, launched its flagship SUV, the Grand Vitara, in September of last year. Reservations for this hybrid mid-size SUV began in July 2022, and it has received over 1.20 lakh bookings to date. The company has delivered over 32,000 Grand Vitara units until January 2023, and there is currently a long waiting period for this popular SUV. According to the manufacturer, the Grand Vitara has already garnered 1,22,437 bookings (as of February 2023). While only 32,087 of the latest hybrid SUVs have been delivered as of January of this year, there are presently 90,350 pending orders. Depending on the variant the customer opts for and the dealership's location, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara's waiting period can be anywhere from two to nine months.

The 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with a mild hybrid system and the 1.5-litre TNGA petrol engine with a strong hybrid system are the two options available for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The former is coupled to a six-speed torque converter automatic and a five-speed manual transmission, and it has a maximum power output of 102bhp and a maximum torque output of 137Nm. Moreover, the AWD system is only available on manual models. The strong-hybrid model, also referred to as the Intelligent Electric Hybrid system, produces 91bhp and 122Nm of torque when using the ICE unit and 114bhp and 141Nm of torque at its maximum in the electric mode. Further, the SUV has a fuel efficiency rating of 27.97km/l.
Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Chestnut Brown, Opulent Red, Arctic White with a black roof, Splendid Silver with a black roof, and Opulent Red with a black roof are the nine colour options available for buyers to choose from. In terms of trim levels, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is available in six different trim levels:Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes standard with a 360-degree camera, contrast-colored skid plates, a split headlamp design, a fully digital instrument display, new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, ventilated front seats, wraparound LED tail lights, dual-tone black and brown interior theme, a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HUD, Suzuki Connect telematics, a shark-fin antenna, and different drive modes.

Ex-showroom prices for the all-new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara range from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh. This mid-size SUV competes with a slew of SUVs in the sub-20 lakh price range, including the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the Tata Harrier, the Volkswagen Taigun, the Skoda Kushaq, and others.
