Maruti Suzuki introduced a Velocity Edition for the Fronx's turbo-petrol variants in early February 2024. The special edition was previously available in the following trims: Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. However, it is now offered across the board. With this edition, you get a bunch of accessories to spec up your vehicle, including an exterior styling kit (Grey + Red), illuminated door sill guard, rear upper spoiler extender, door visors, wheel arch garnish, front grille garnish (opulent red), body side moulding, and OVRM covers, complete with an interior styling kit (with carbon finish) and 3D mats.
The Alpha and Zeta variants of the Fronx come with NeXCross Bordeaux Finish Sleeve seat covers, while the Delta+ variants feature NexaCross Black Finish seat covers. Price-wise, the Fronx Velocity Edition can be had at a starting price of Rs 7.29 lakh for the entry-level Sigma variant. The price is ex-showroom and is valid for a limited period.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Fronx Velocity Edition gets two engine options: a 1.0-litre Turbo Boosterjet petrol mill and a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT engine (petrol and CNG). The 1.2-litre engine is mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic shifter (AMT), while the 1.0-litre unit comes with either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission alternative. Moreover, a five-speed manual transmission is on offer with the CNG model.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Velocity Edition: Features
Features-wise, the Fronx Velocity Edition offers a 9.0-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a head-up display with turn-by-turn navigation. For safety, it has a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD, ESP with Hill Hold Assist & Rollover Mitigation, up to six airbags, and three-point ELR seatbelts.
The Fronx range starts at Rs 7.52 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.88 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of market competition, the model rivals the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and the Citroen C3 in India.
