Maruti Suzuki has introduced the Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition in India. This five-seater SUV has a sportier appearance thanks to the new cosmetic enhancements that take the shape of a range of exterior and interior accessories. When purchasing the Delta+, Zeta, or Alpha variants, buyers have the option of upgrading to the Turbo Velocity Edition for an additional Rs 43,000. With this, the popular and in-demand Fronx lineup has been further expanded by the firm. The car was initially launched in the domestic market in April last year with a price tag of Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Please take note that the add-ons are meant for the MY23 and MY24 models. Having said that, the SUV is not mechanically altered by the recent upgrade. Read on to learn more about the available accessories.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Price Range and Competitors

The current ex-showroom price of the Fronx starts at Rs 7.51 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.04 lakh. As for the rivals, the model faces off against the Tata Punch, the Nissan Magnite, the Renault Kiger, and the Citroen C3 in India.

A few days back, Maruti Suzuki announced that the Fronx has become the fastest passenger car in India to reach the one lakh sales mark. It is worth noting that around 9,000 units of the car were delivered to countries in Latin America and Africa, with the remainder sold domestically. The vehicle presently has a 12 per cent market share in the popular subcompact SUV class, which has helped the company gain a huge 30 per cent market share. Automatic models have contributed a bigger 24 per cent share of overall SUV sales, with CNG variants accounting for 20 per cent. However, just 7 per cent of the crossover's market sales come from the more expensive turbo models.

In other news, Maruti Suzuki is also giving away cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and other incentives on the Fronx models for 2023. The Turbo variants can be had with a cash discount of Rs 30,000 and an exchange bonus amounting to Rs 10,000. When the value of the Turbo Velocity Edition's accessories is taken into account, the total benefits come to Rs 83,000.
