Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Fronx in India in probably April this year. The crossover has been the most anticipated product from Maruti Suzuki ever since its debut in our market. Recently, a video went viral reporting the arrival of the Fronx at the Nexa dealerships ahead of the official launch in India. The bookings of the car are underway at Rs 11,000. A few days ago, a mule of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, with emission testing equipment fitted on the boot, was spotted in Pune, India. The spotted mule with dual-tone alloy wheels and a rear wiper was assumed to be a CNG version. According to reports, the spied variant will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a factory-installed CNG kit. On CNG, the unit will be capable of delivering 76bhp of power output and 98Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed the report of launching a CNG variant of the Fronx in India yet. However, we expect the carmaker to share the details of it soon. Currently, Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the Fronx with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.2-litre petrol engines soon. So, without much delay, let's know more about them.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Engine Details
Under the hood, the crossover will come with A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, capable of churning out 99bhp and 147Nm, and a 1.2-litre petrol unit, capable of offering 89bhp and 113Nm. Buyers can choose between an AMT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Variants & Colours
Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha are the five trim options available for the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The crossover will be accessible in three dual-tone colour schemes and six monochromatic colour schemes. The monotone colour options include Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, and Splendid Silver. The dual-tone colour options, on the other hand, are Earthen Brown with Bluish Black, Opulent Red with Bluish Black, and Splendid Silver with Bluish Black.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Exterior & Interior
Outside, it has a grille like the Grand Vitara, but there are no chrome accents around it. Rather, it sports a single, wide chrome strip that is also home to the Suzuki logo in the centre. It has squared-off wheel arches. Moreover, the Fronx is much larger overall and has more ground clearance than the Baleno.
The Fronx's interior imitates Maruti Suzuki's hatchback, the Baleno. A 9.0-inch free-floating SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection is featured in the Fronx's dual-tone cabin. Other feature highlights of the crossover, include a wireless car charger, a head-up display, a 360-degree rearview camera, an automated air conditioner, and a reverse parking camera.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Estimated Price
The price announcement of the Fronx is yet to happen, but market expectations reveal that it could cost between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14 Lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. As far as the market rivalry is concerned, the crossover will go up against the Renault Kiger, the Nissan Magnite, the Tata Punch, and more.
