Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Design and Variants
In terms of exterior styling, the new Maruti Suzuki model has taken cues from the Grand Vitara and the Baleno. It has a sizable chrome-bar-separated hexagonal grille, more svelte LED headlights, and DRLS. A grey-coloured set of faux skid plates is attached to the front bumper. It also has a coupe-like appearance thanks to a sloping roofline and 16-inch precision-cut dual-tone alloy wheels on the side profile. It now has LED block taillights on the back, an LED strip running the length of the vehicle, and a roof spoiler.
Further, as mentioned before, the ten colour schemes that are available for the SUV are Bluish Black, Celestial Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Earthen Brown, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black Roof, Opulent Red with Bluish Black Roof, and Earthen Brown with Bluish Black Roof. These colours are dual-toned and monochromatic. Maruti Suzuki's new SUV is available in five trim levels: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. The price of the model varies depending on the variant. It is larger in size than the Baleno hatchback. The new model measures 3,995mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,550mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,520mm, which is comparable to the Baleno.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Engine and Transmission
The new Maruti Suzuki SUV comes with two engine options: a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. For those who don't know, the 2017 Baleno RS model was the first to offer the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. However, because of low demand and the switch to BS6, the automaker stopped making this unit. With the recently released Fronx in India, Maruti Suzuki has now brought this engine back. This engine can produce 147.6Nm of peak torque at 2,000 to 4,500rpm and 99bhp of maximum power at 5,500rpm.
The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, on the other hand, can produce a maximum torque of 113Nm at 4,400rpm and 89bhp at 6,000rpm. While the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offers both a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT as gearbox choices, the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine uses either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
