Maruti Suzuki has finally begun exporting its newly launched Fronx SUV. The initial batch, comprising 556 units, was shipped from ports in Mundra, Mumbai, and Pipavav to destinations in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. According to industry reports, Maruti Suzuki has high expectations for the vehicle and aims to increase its market share globally through its export. In the Indian market, the SUV is available at prices ranging from Rs 7.47 lakh to Rs 13.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The Fronx SUV is offered in five different variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha.
Under the hood, the SUV provides two engine choices. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and the second is a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol unit. With the SUV heading overseas, let's quickly go through its features, specifications, engine options, and more.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Powertrain
Interested customers have the option to choose between the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine and the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine for the SUV. The turbo-petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 99bhp and a peak torque of 147.6Nm. On the other hand, the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine generates a peak power of 89bhp and a maximum torque of 113Nm.
For the Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. As for the naturally-aspirated petrol engine, customers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Colours, Dimensions & Safety Equipment
The SUV offers ten different exterior paint finishes: Bluish Black, Celestial Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Earthen Brown, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black Roof, Opulent Red with Bluish Black Roof, and Earthen Brown with Bluish Black Roof. These colours are available in both dual-toned and monochromatic options.
Inside, the upholstery is offered with a dual-tone Bordeaux and Black colour combination. The dashboard features a metallic matte finish with a high gloss silver insert, adding to the overall aesthetic appeal. In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 3995mm in length, 1765mm in width, and 1550mm in height. It shares the same wheelbase of 2520mm as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
Safety features in the Fronx include six airbags, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with Hill Hold Assist and Rollover Mitigation, three-point ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelts, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages, among others.
