Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Undergoes Internal Crash Test; Bharat NCAP Next?
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is likely to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Tata Curvv EV, the MG ZS EV, and the Hyundai Creta EV.

A series of crash test images featuring the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara have surfaced online, suggesting that the automaker is gearing up to assess the safety and performance of its electric vehicle before it hits the market. These images appear to be from internal crash tests conducted by Maruti Suzuki, rather than external evaluations from agencies like Bharat NCAP, Global NCAP, or Euro NCAP. After facing criticism over some of its models' underwhelming safety ratings in global crash tests, the Indian division of the Japanese automaker seems to have focused on enhancing the safety features of its cars.

Notably, the new-generation Dzire was the first Maruti Suzuki vehicle to secure a perfect 5-star rating in Global NCAP tests. With the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki seems to be rigorously testing the EV's safety across multiple parameters, likely in preparation for evaluation by external crash-test agencies. Here’s a closer look at some key specifications of Maruti Suzuki's first-ever EV.
