The Dzire, with its sedan body shape, appeals to individuals seeking functionality and space. It offers a larger trunk, more rear-seat legroom, and an enhanced relaxed driving experience. The design is more mature, aimed at families and those who frequently travel large distances. In contrast, as a hatchback, the Swift is more compact, agile, and designed for urban driving. Although the powertrain options for both cars are the same, there are minor differences between them. Compared to its hatchback counterpart, the Dzire is 135mm longer and 5mm taller. It also offers a 117-litre greater boot space. However, the wheelbase and width of both vehicles are similar.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2024 Rear Quarter

The revised Maruti Suzuki Dzire has undergone considerable cosmetic alterations, which makes it nearly distinct from the Swift. The sedan has a larger grille with several horizontal slats, angular headlights with horizontal DRLs, a more prominent shoulder line, and newly designed alloys. Among the other improvements are a boot lid spoiler, a shark fin antenna, new fog lamp housings, and Y-shaped LED taillights that are joined by a noticeable chrome strip.

While preserving the key features of its predecessors, the Swift now comes with a revised grille with an all-black finish, new LED headlights and DRLs, and rear door handles mounted on the doors instead of the C-pillar. It has new alloy wheels and taillights. The ZXI+ model sports diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the ZXI trim has standard alloy wheels.

The Swift comes in six monotone, and three dual-tone colours. In contrast, the Dzire has seven paint options—none of which are dual-tone.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Interior

The new Dzire and Swift both feature an identical dashboard layout. However, the former's cabin is finished in beige and grey, while the latter has an all-black theme. The two Maruti Suzuki vehicles have many common features, including rear AC vents, a 9-inch touchscreen, analogue dials, a coloured MID, and a temperature control system, but the Dzire stands out with a sunroof and a 360-degree camera.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Swift: Powertrain

The Dzire and Swift have the same powertrain, which is a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 80bhp and 112Nm. When running on CNG, the same unit produces 69bhp and 102Nm. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. Notably, the CNG unit has only a manual gearbox. The manual version of the Dzire offers a mileage of 24.79km/l, while the automatic model has a fuel efficiency of 25.71km/l. The CNG variant is certified to achieve a mileage of 33.73km/kg.

The Swift’s manual version, on the other hand, yields 24.8km/l, while the automatic variant offers 25.75km/l. The CNG model has a mileage of 32.85 km/kg. The Swift gets slightly better mileage in petrol mode, but the Dzire is more efficient in CNG mode.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Swift: Price

The price of the Dzire starts at Rs 6.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.14 lakh. The Swift, on the other hand, costs between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.59 lakh. Compared to the Dzire, the Swift is more affordable on both entry and higher-spec levels.
