Maruti Suzuki Dzire Launched in Philippines with Mild Hybrid Powertrain; Priced Equivalent to Rs 13.87 Lakh
The Philippine-spec Dzire, offered in two trims, costs PHP 920,000–998,000 (Rs 13.87–15.04 lakh), a hefty premium over the India-spec model’s Rs 6.84–10.19 lakh range.

The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire has made its way to the Philippines, with a mild-hybrid engine — a key upgrade over the non-hybrid version launched in India last November. While the design remains unchanged, the Philippine-spec Dzire lacks several convenience and safety features found in the Indian model. It is available in two variants and is priced between PHP 920,000 and PHP 998,000 (around Rs 13.87 lakh to Rs 15.04 lakh), significantly higher than the India-spec Dzire, which ranges from Rs 6.84 lakh to Rs 10.19 lakh. Specifically, the base model in the Philippines costs over Rs 7 lakh more, and the top-end variant is about Rs 4.5 lakh more expensive than its Indian counterpart.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire: What’s New?
The India and Philippine based models differ in their engines and transmissions. Both use a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 81bhp and 112Nm. However, the Philippine version adds mild-hybrid technology for better fuel economy and uses a CVT, unlike the Indian model's AMT. Additionally, the India-spec Dzire offers a petrol+CNG option not available in the Philippines.

Beyond the powertrain, the Philippine Dzire lacks certain features found in the India-spec model, such as the Arkamys audio system, a wireless phone charger, and a sunroof. The Indian version also offers a more comprehensive safety package with a 360-degree camera, compared to the Philippine model's basic rearview camera.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Other Details

Visually, the sedan maintains a consistent design language across both markets, featuring the same bold front bumper, prominent grille with horizontal slats, sleek LED headlights with horizontal DRLs, redesigned fog lamp housings, and a strong shoulder line. Both also share the new alloy wheel design and Y-shaped LED taillights connected by a chrome strip. However, the only visual difference on the outside is the ‘Hybrid’ badge found on the tailgate of the Philippine-spec Dzire.
