Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Dzire, one of India’s best-selling sedans, has crossed the production milestone of 30 lakh units. First introduced in 2008, the sedan has become a cornerstone of the carmaker’s lineup. It achieved the first one lakh-unit production mark in 2015, doubled that by 2019, and continues to dominate the segment. The milestone coincides with the recent arrival of the new Dzire, marking a new chapter in its success story.
The Dzire has gained significant traction in global markets as well, with around 2.60 lakh units exported to 48 countries since 2008. Key export regions include the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. In the last fiscal year, it ranked as the company’s second-most exported model.
